Programs and Services

OnlyUp.org will work closely with nonprofits to reduce the barriers that young people face when pursuing careers in public service. While some organizations work with young people to become leaders or list job opportunities, OnlyUp.org will address the source of the problem, not the symptoms. We plan to discuss with nonprofits how to improve the current young professional friendliness of their organizations. This would include assessing an organization through observation, evaluation, and consulting. OnlyUp.org will offer awards for nonprofits and young people so that organizations willing to strive to become better workplaces can benefit from incentives to implement lasting change. OnlyUp.org will also campaign for the inclusions of young people in boards and advisory committees, as well as loan forgiveness benefits for entry-level positions.

• Awards: We offer funding for professional development, salary supplements, and loan repayment to organizations wanting to recruit and retain young people in a long-term position.
• Consultations: We provide trainings, workshops, and one-on-one consultations with nonprofits on how to make their opportunities and work environments more inviting to younger employees.
• Community Building: We partner with other organizations to bring together leaders on issues facing the sector and the leadership of young people; to create and disseminate models of nonprofits that embody our approach; and to advocate increasing the presence of young people in leadership positions.
