Young nonprofit employees are bored because of a lack of meaningful responsibilities at their workplace, or burning out because they are given too much work with too little support.
Their college loans and other financial responsibilities are too great to make ends meet on a nonprofit salary.
They see better opportunities for career development in the forprofit or government sectors.
Or, they simply lose confidence that their nonprofit can do good in the world and leave to pursue other types of social change.

Whether you are a young person or are the director of a nonprofit (or both!), we want to partner with you. Please contact us.
We are excited to launch our new website today for OnlyUp.org! It has been a long process in the making, and this is not the end but more of a new beginning for us here working on our cause.
Our website is the public face of the OnlyUp campaign. We are committed to improving the nonprofit sector for young adults so that more young people stay in the sector, and that the nonprofit world is sustainable. Our plan of action is currently composed of three elements: Consulting, Community-Coalition Building, and Awards.
With consulting we provide trainings, workshops, and one-on-one consultations with non profits on how to make their opportunities and work environments more inviting to younger employees. You can now contact us if you are interested in working with us with your place of employment if you are a young adult or a seasoned member of the sector.
We plan to partner with other organizations to bring together thought leaders on issues facing the sector and the leadership of young people; to create and disseminate models of nonprofits that embody our approach; and to advocate for a greater presence of young people in leadership positions. Read our blog and contribute to the conversation! Join our list and lets help work from the grassroots to get this message across the country by the voices of those who are effected by this the most.
We are also working to offer funding for professional development, salary supplements, and loan repayment to organizations wanting to recruit and retain young people in long term positions. Soon we will be able to launch these programs so that we can improve on those already leading the way to a better sector. Contributions are always welcome!
So what does this website launch mean for us? A huge component of our work is getting information to people who can use it. We are trying to rally the call across the country that the nonprofit world needs to change, and we must work hard to make it a better place to work. This new website is a new beginning to our mission to create a better tomorrow through the eyes of the millennial generation. Lets work together—there is no better day than today.
More than anything, we would love to hear from you. If you have any thoughts on our project or want to get involved please do not hesitate to contact us.
The only way is up!
